Penguin's Egg (2024) by Anna Kemp, illustrated by Alice Courtley, is a rhyming picture book about a father penguin. A rockhopper penguin dad watches over his egg on the frozen sea, until he falls asleep and the ice cracks beneath him. Drifting far from home, he hitches rides by train, helicopter, hot-air balloon and limousine with the help of kind strangers, racing to get back before his egg hatches.
