Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture
Categories: Computers & Technology
Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture is Martin Fowler's catalog of design patterns for building business software. The first part explains the common problems of enterprise applications, such as layering, handling concurrency, organizing domain logic and mapping objects to relational databases. The second part describes more than forty patterns in detail, including Active Record, Data Mapper, Unit of Work and Model View Controller. Many of these patterns underpin popular web frameworks, including Ruby on Rails.
