Parade (2024) is a novel by Rachel Cusk made up of linked sections about artists, each referred to only as G. One G, a painter, begins painting the world upside down; a woman is struck by a stranger in a Paris street, and a man falls to his death at a gallery exhibition. Through these and other episodes, the novel examines art, family, gender and the relationship between artists and the lives they draw on.
