Palm Sunday

Subtitled An Autobiographical Collage, this 1981 book gathers Kurt Vonnegut's speeches, essays and letters and adds new autobiographical writing. He traced his family's history in Indianapolis and the German-American culture of his youth. Other pieces take up censorship, including his letter to a North Dakota school board that burned copies of Slaughterhouse-Five, and the Palm Sunday sermon that gives the book its title. He also graded each of his own novels in a report card.
