Outline (2014) is a novel by Rachel Cusk, the first in a trilogy, about a writer teaching a summer course in Athens. The narrator, a British novelist, travels to Greece to teach creative writing. Over a series of conversations with the people she meets, including a neighbour on the plane and her students, she listens as they tell stories about their lives, and her own life emerges mostly in outline.
