Operation Kronstadt: The Greatest True Tale of Espionage to Come Out of the Early Years of MI6
Categories: History
Harry Ferguson tells the true story of two British agents in revolutionary Russia in 1919: the spy Paul Dukes, a former concert pianist, and Augustus Agar, a young naval officer. Dukes built a network of informants inside Bolshevik Petrograd while Agar ran fast motor boats across the Gulf of Finland to bring out his intelligence. Their mission included a daring torpedo attack on the Red Fleet at Kronstadt, which earned Agar the Victoria Cross.
