Nuclear War Survival Skills
Categories: Science & Math
Nuclear War Survival Skills, first published in 1979, is a civil defense manual by Cresson H. Kearny based on research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Kearny explains how ordinary families could protect themselves from fallout after a nuclear attack, with step-by-step instructions for building expedient shelters, ventilating them, storing water and food, and making a simple homemade fallout meter. He also sets out what he saw as common myths about nuclear war.
