Never Enough
Categories: Education & Teaching, Parenting & Relationships
In Never Enough (2023), journalist Jennifer Breheny Wallace examines the pressure on children in affluent communities to achieve, and its links to anxiety, depression and burnout. Drawing on research and interviews with students, parents and experts, Wallace argues that teenagers need to feel that they matter to their families and communities for who they are, not what they achieve. She offers parents and schools ways to reduce toxic competition and build healthier sources of self-worth.
