Murder Machine: A True Story of Madness and the Mafia
Categories: History
Murder Machine, first published in 1992, is Gene Mustain and Jerry Capeci's account of Roy DeMeo and his crew of killers, who worked for the Gambino crime family in Brooklyn in the 1970s and early 1980s. Drawing on court records, investigators and informants, the authors describe how the crew ran car-theft and drug rings and carried out scores of murders in a Gemini Lounge apartment, and how detectives and federal agents pursued them until DeMeo's own death in 1983.
