More Than a Game

More Than a Game is a 2001 book by Phil Jackson and his longtime friend, writer Charley Rosen. In alternating chapters the two men describe their lives in basketball, from their small-town childhoods to playing and coaching at every level, from the minor leagues to the NBA. They share their thinking on teamwork, the triangle offense and the pressures of the game, and reflect on what basketball has taught them about competition, friendship and life.
