Masaaki Hatsumi: Dojo Giga | Heaven (Dojo Art Books) is a bilingual Japanese-English art book of paintings and calligraphy by the founder of the Bujinkan Dojo, paired with action photographs from his dojo. Its theme is martial virtue, which Hatsumi presents as military force used properly, to create civilization and maintain peace. The 224-page volume is printed in full color with metallic gold ink, Swiss bound so the cover opens flat and sold in a case. A companion volume, Earth, shares the format.

• Tim Ferriss: “I found the art and philosophies within—as well as wonderful Japanese wordplay—to grab my attention more than the martial arts. ... It's truly a beautiful book.”
