Mansfield Park is a novel by Jane Austen, first published in 1814. Fanny Price, a poor relation, is sent at age ten to live with her wealthy uncle Sir Thomas Bertram and his family at Mansfield Park. Treated as an outsider, she grows up quiet and principled and secretly loves her cousin Edmund. When the charming Crawford siblings arrive, their influence tests the family's morals, and Fanny must stand by her own judgment.
