Make Peace or Die: A Life of Service, Leadership, and Nightmares
Categories: Biographies & Memoirs
Make Peace or Die is the memoir of Charles U. Daly, an Irish immigrant who joined the US Marine Corps expecting the Korean War to be an adventure in a family tradition of service. He came home decorated, wounded and traumatized. His search for a new mission took him to John F. Kennedy's White House, Robert Kennedy's campaign, the Troubles in Northern Ireland and a South African township devastated by AIDS. At every turn, he writes, the choice was make peace or die.
