Le Morte d'Arthur: Volume 1
Categories: Literature & Fiction
Le Morte d'Arthur is Sir Thomas Malory's fifteenth-century English prose retelling of the legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. This edition presents the first volume. It follows Arthur's birth, his drawing of the sword from the stone, and the adventures of knights such as Lancelot, Gawain and Tristram. First printed by William Caxton in 1485, the work became the source for later Arthurian literature.
