Chef Roy Choi, who co-founded the Kogi food truck, tells the story of his life in Los Angeles through the food that shaped him. Choi describes growing up in his parents' Korean restaurant, falling into gangs, drugs and gambling, and finding his way back through cooking. Mixing memoir with about 85 recipes, he celebrates the many cultures and neighborhoods of Los Angeles. The book was published by Anthony Bourdain's imprint at Ecco.
