Keynes: The Return of the Master (2009) by Robert Skidelsky is a short book about John Maynard Keynes and the financial crisis of 2008. Skidelsky, Keynes's biographer, argues that the crisis exposed the failures of the economic theories that had replaced Keynes's ideas. He explains Keynes's thinking on uncertainty, money and government spending, and makes the case for applying it to rebuild the global economy.
