Infinite Country is Patricia Engel's novel about a Colombian family divided between two countries by migration and deportation. Elena and Mauro fall in love in Bogotá, then move to the United States, where their children are born. After Mauro is deported, the family is split, with the youngest daughter Talia raised in Colombia. When Talia escapes from a reform school, she races to reach her family in time to fly to America.
