I Am Restored

I Am Restored (2020) is a memoir by hip-hop artist Lecrae about the personal and spiritual crisis that followed his years of success in Christian music. Lecrae describes childhood abuse, the absence of his father, depression, addiction and a loss of faith in the religious culture that had embraced him. He recounts recovering through therapy, honesty and community, and coming to a broader faith that made room for doubt, lament and his own identity.
