Hollywood Moon is a 2009 police novel by Joseph Wambaugh, the third in his series about the LAPD's Hollywood Division after Hollywood Station and Hollywood Crows. Wambaugh is a former LAPD detective. The surfer-cop partners Flotsam and Jetsam return, along with officers like Hollywood Nate and Sergeant Murillo. Their shifts bring absurd calls and real danger, while an identity thief and his girlfriend run scams that grow more violent. Wambaugh mixes police comedy with a serious crime plot.

- Stephen King: “Only Dream City could produce cops as cool as Flotsam and Jetsam (surfer cops), Nate Weiss (the aspiring-actor cop), and Dana Vaughn (the cynical, fortysomething mom-cop). The best of Wambaugh’s Hollywood Station novels.”
