Glory Road (1963) is a Robert A. Heinlein fantasy novel. E. C. Gordon, a U.S. veteran back from a war in Southeast Asia, answers a newspaper ad promising adventure and meets a beautiful woman who takes him to another world. There he becomes a hero on a quest to recover a stolen artifact, and afterward he has to decide what a hero does when the adventure is over.
