Get Jiro!

Anthony Bourdain and Joel Rose co-wrote this graphic novel set in a future Los Angeles where chefs are the most powerful figures and rival culinary gangs control the city. Jiro, a master sushi chef, refuses to take sides between two warring factions, one devoted to elite global cuisine and the other to local, organic food. When customers break his rules, he responds with his knife. The book satirizes the excesses of modern food culture with violence and dark humor.
