Categories: Science & Math
Field Notes from a Catastrophe (2006) is Elizabeth Kolbert's report on climate change, which grew out of a series in The New Yorker. She travels to Alaska, Greenland, Iceland and the Netherlands. She talks with scientists studying melting permafrost and glaciers and shifting species, and she looks at past climate collapses and the politics of cutting emissions.
