Fear and Loathing in America: The Brutal Odyssey of an Outlaw Journalist
Categories: Biographies & Memoirs
Fear and Loathing in America, first published in 2000, is the second volume of Hunter S. Thompson's collected letters, edited by the historian Douglas Brinkley and covering 1968 to 1976. The letters, to editors, politicians, friends and enemies, trace the years in which Thompson covered the Chicago Democratic convention, ran for sheriff of Pitkin County, wrote Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and followed the 1972 presidential campaign for Rolling Stone.
