Famesick is a 2026 memoir by Lena Dunham, the creator and star of the HBO series Girls and the author of Not That Kind of Girl. Published by Random House, it became a New York Times bestseller. Told in three acts from the sale of the Girls pilot to the present, it describes her rise to fame alongside years of chronic illness, hospital stays and addiction. Dunham asks whether fulfilling her creative ambitions was worth the cost to her body and relationships.
