Facing Reality: Two Truths About Race in America
Categories: Politics & Social Sciences
Facing Reality is a short book by political scientist Charles Murray about race and American public policy. Murray argues that two facts are widely avoided in public debate: that American racial and ethnic groups differ on average in measured cognitive ability, and that they differ in rates of violent crime. He presents the data and contends that ignoring them distorts policy, and argues that the country must return to treating people as individuals rather than as members of groups.
