Confrontations: A Scientist's Search for Alien Contact
Categories: Religion & Spirituality, Science & Math
Jacques Vallée's second Alien Contact volume leaves the archives for the field, reporting his own investigations of UFO cases around the world and the physical effects described by witnesses. A central section covers the 1977 wave of lights around Colares, in northern Brazil, which residents called chupa-chupa and blamed for burns, paralysis and other injuries, and which prompted a Brazilian Air Force inquiry known as Operation Prato.

- Joe Rogan: “I'm going through Jacques Vallée's stuff because he's coming on the podcast again and so I've been going through all of his books. He's got several books and he's got a very nuanced perspective on this whole UFO thing”
