Coloring Book Land: Coloring Outside the Lines of Good Taste

Jim Wirt's Coloring Book Land is a humor book for adults that pairs retro clip art in the style of children's coloring books with dark, deliberately offensive and politically incorrect captions. Each page sets an innocent-looking drawing against a caption written to shock, so that the joke lies in the clash between the wholesome image and the words beneath it. The pages can be colored in, but the book is aimed at grown-ups with a taste for tasteless humor (Citadel, 2007).

Ryan Holiday: “I found Jim Wirt through his website, ColoringBookLand.com where he is consistently one of the funniest writers on the internet. The book is no different, featuring the same style of incredibly offensive but genuinely clever cartoons.”
