Challenge to Science: The UFO Enigma
By Jacques Vallée, Janine Vallée
Categories: Religion & Spirituality, Science & Math
In Challenge to Science, first published in 1966, Jacques and Janine Vallée apply statistical analysis to worldwide UFO sighting reports, with a foreword by the astronomer J. Allen Hynek. Using computer-sorted catalogs, the authors look for patterns in the time of day, geography and type of reported events, including the French wave of 1954, and argue that the consistency of the data makes the phenomenon a legitimate subject for science.

- Joe Rogan: “I'm going through Jacques Vallée's stuff because he's coming on the podcast again and so I've been going through all of his books. He's got several books and he's got a very nuanced perspective on this whole UFO thing”
