Bourdain: The Definitive Oral Biography, first published in 2021, is Laurie Woolever's portrait of the chef, writer and television host Anthony Bourdain, who died in 2018. Woolever, his longtime assistant and collaborator, assembled it from interviews with nearly a hundred family members, friends and colleagues, who trace his life from his New Jersey childhood and kitchen years to Kitchen Confidential, his travel shows and his struggles with addiction and depression.
