Blood's a Rover is a 2009 novel by James Ellroy, the final book of his Underworld USA trilogy after American Tabloid and The Cold Six Thousand. It covers the years 1968 to 1972, from the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy onward. The story follows three men, an FBI agent, a former police officer and a young private investigator, caught up in conspiracies involving J. Edgar Hoover, Howard Hughes, the Mafia and plans for a casino in the Dominican Republic, written in Ellroy's clipped style.
