Anne Frank: The Biography (1998) is Austrian journalist Melissa Müller's account of Anne Frank's life. It follows her from her childhood in Frankfurt and the family's move to Amsterdam to escape the Nazis, through the two years hidden in the secret annex, to her arrest and her death at Bergen-Belsen in 1945. Using interviews and documents, including pages left out of published editions of the diary, Müller places it in the context of Anne's family and the occupation, and examines who may have betrayed them.
