An Introduction to General Systems Thinking
Categories: Computers & Technology, Science & Math
An Introduction to General Systems Thinking is Gerald M. Weinberg's classic introduction to thinking about complex systems, first published in 1975 and reissued in a silver anniversary edition. Weinberg explains how scientists and engineers simplify the world in order to understand it, and the hidden assumptions and limits behind those simplifications. With exercises and examples from many fields, he shows how to observe systems, choose useful boundaries and think more clearly about problems that resist simple analysis.
