Against the Odds: An Autobiography
Categories: Biographies & Memoirs, Business & Money
Against the Odds is the autobiography of British inventor James Dyson, written with journalist Giles Coren. Dyson describes his education in design and engineering, the Ballbarrow and other early products, and the five years and more than 5,000 prototypes it took to perfect his bagless vacuum cleaner. He recounts rejection by manufacturers, patent battles and the struggle to build his own company, and argues for the value of persistence, experimentation and design in business.
