About Face: The Odyssey of an American Warrior

Categories: Biographies & Memoirs, History

Colonel David Hackworth's memoir of a career that ran from Korea to Vietnam, where he became one of the Army's most decorated officers before publicly breaking with how the war was being fought. It is a blunt study of combat leadership and of the gap between soldiers and the brass.
