A Man Without a Country
Categories: Biographies & Memoirs, Politics & Social Sciences
Published in 2005, this was the last book by Kurt Vonnegut to appear in his lifetime. Subtitled A Memoir of Life in George W. Bush's America, it grew out of short pieces he wrote for the magazine In These Times. He wrote about humor, art, technology, the environment and American politics in the years after the 2003 invasion of Iraq, mixed in memories of his own life, and illustrated the book with his drawings and hand-lettered sayings.
